We have imported a number of dogs over the years from respected European Groenendael kennels always with the aim of improving type whilst continuing to breed healthy dogs with good temperaments and hopefully that little extra bit of class which sets them apart. Consequently, all our dogs are hip scored and eye tested under the relevant BVA/KC schemes. With the opening of the borders we are now able to take our girls abroad to take advantage of the very best on the continent.
Over the years Janice has been actively involved with the BSDA of GB, serving first as Newsletter Editor then Secretary and finally Chairman. She is currently a Vice President of the Club.
Janice has awarded CCs in the UK since 1993 and has also been privileged to judge Breed Specialities in Ireland, Sweden, France, Germany, Holland, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic and Canada.
Welcome to the website of Ebontide. We are based near Newbury, Berkshire and welcome visitors to our home to meet 'our family'.
We bought our first Groenendael in 1978 and have been devoted to the breed ever since. Currently we live with three ranging from 1 to 10 years. All live in the house as our companions and friends.
The Belgian Shepherd is a lively intelligent dog that craves human company and undoubtably flourishes better in a home environment. They make ideal family companions but also enjoy activities such as obedience, agility and tracking making them a real multi-purpose dog.
From the early days we travelled to the continent to study and talk with breed specialists in our thirst to know more about the breed.
